Robyn Rowland is a dual Irish-Australian citizen.

Her poetry collections include Filigree in Blood (Longman Cheshire, Melbourne, 1982); Perverse Serenity (Heinemann, Australia, 1990. Reprint; Spinifex, Australia, 1992); Fiery Waters (Five Islands Press, Wollongong, Australia, 2001); Shadows at the Gate (Five Islands Press, Wollongong, Australia, 2004); Silence & its tongues (Five Islands Press, 2009); Seasons of Doubt & Burning. New & Selected Poems, Five Islands Press, 2010); and Line of Drift (Connemara, Doire Press, 2015), which was supported by the Irish Arts Council.

Her bi-lingual This Intimate War Gallipoli/Çanakkale 1915 – İçli Dışlı Bir Savaş: Gelibolu/Çanakkale 1915 published by Five Islands Press in Australia and by Bilge Kultur Sanat in Turkey, was sponsored by the Municipality of Çanakkale.

Her other books and Cds of poetry are held at the Special Collections, James Joyce Library, UCD.

She has been awarded the Catalpa Poetry/Writers Prizes from Australian-Irish Heritage Association; Jean Stone Poetry Prize; Poetica Christi Poetry Prize; and the Writing Spirit Poetry Award (Ireland).

She lives between Ireland and Australia, and often works in Turkey.
