Ray Givens
Ray Givans was born in Portadown, Co Armagh, and grew up in Castlecaulfield, Co.Tyrone.
His collections are No Surrender, Castlecaulfield, (Belfast, Lapwing, 1993); Before Winter (Isle of Lewis, Grendon House Pamphlet Series,2000); Earth Works, a collaboration of poetry and artwork with Somserset based artist, Tony Martin (Bristol,Subway, 2002); and Going Home (Lapwing, 2004).
He has been awarded prizes for poetry in Australia, U.S.A., U.K. and Ireland.
He lives in Belfast.
