Patrick Quigley was born in 1953 in Co Monaghan.

His novels are Borderland (Tralee, Brandon, 1994); and The Hours of her Face (Brandon, 1999).

His biographes are The Polish Irishman: The Life and Times of Count Casimir Markievicz (Dublin, The Liffey Press, 2012); and Sisters Against the Empire: Countess Constance Markievicz and Eva ore-Booth, 1916-17 (Dublin, Liffey Press, 2016).

An active member of the Irish Polish Society, he lives in Dublin.
