Tom Phelan was born in Strahard, Mountmellick, County Laois, in 1940.

His books are In the Season of the Daisies (Dublin, Lilliput 1993/New York, Four Walls, 1996/ Paris, Editions Balland, 1997) Iscariot (Kerry, Brandon 1995/ Munich, Franz Schneekluth Verlag, 1997); Derrycloney (Brandon, 1999); The Canal Bridge (Lilliput, 2005); and Nailer (Freeport, New York, Glanvil Press, 2011).

In the Season of the Daisies was chosen by the American bookstore chain Barnes & Noble for its Discover Great New Writers series.

He is a 2008-2009 Fellow of the Christopher Isherwood Foundation, and lives on Long Island in New York.

  2. I was puzzled about the website correction at first as I have the correct link but then I saw that the image acknowledgement was .com. Well spotted and many thanks. Also thanks for the Isherwood Foundation information. I don’t link to amazon any more but I’m happy if writers want to add their Kindle notices in the comments. Less work for me!
