Peter Sheridan
Peter Sheridan was born in Dublin in 1952. His plays include Paint it Black (Project Theatre, 1971); No Entry (Dublin, Project Arts Centre, 1976); Women at Work([co-author Jim Sheridan] Team Educational Company, 1976); The Liberty Suit ([co-author Manix Flynn] Dublin, Olympia Theatre, 1977/published Dublin, Co-op Books, 1980); Emigrants (Clifden Labour Club, Blackpool, UK; The Royal Court, London; and The Project Arts Centre, Dublin. Produced by Pirate Jenny Theatre Company, 1978); Diary of a Hungerstrike (London, The Round House, produced by Hull Truck Company, 1982); The Rock and Roll Show (Project Arts Centre for Dublin Theatre Festival, 1982); Shades of the Jellywoman (Part One)(Project Arts Centre, 1986); ; and Finders Keepers (Dublin, The Abbey Theatre, 2004).
His books include the memoirs 44, Dublin Made Me (London, Viking, 1999); 47 Roses (Viking, 2002); and one novel, Big Fat Love (Dublin, Tivoli, 2003). He has also published Old Money, New Money (Dublin, New Island Books, Open Door Series II, 2000).
He lives in Dublin.
