Norma Harrs was born in Belfast. Her novel is
A Certain State of Mind (Toronto, Virgo Press, 1980). Her short story collections are Love Minus One & Other Stories (Toronto, Hounslow Press, l994); and
Where Dreams Have Gone (Toronto, Simon & Pierre, l997).
Her plays are Essential Conflict (Harbourfront, Toronto, November, l985);
The 40th Birthday Party (Harbourfront, February, l986); and Sonya (Winnipeg Fringe Festival, July, 1990);
Her stories have been published in literary journals both in Canada
and in the U.S.A. and have have been broadcast on
CBC Radio. Her stories are also availablee on tape from
Telstar Records (U.K.)
She has received a Canada Council TravelGrant (l996) and an Ontario Arts Council
Writer in Residence Grant (l989)
She lives in South Monaghan, Ontario
