Moyra Donaldson was born in Co down in 1956. Her collections are Kissing Ghosts(Belfast, Lapwing Publications, 1995); Snakeskin Stilettos (Belfast, Lagan Press 1998); Beneath the Ice (Belfast, Lagan Press 2001); and an American edition of Snakeskin Stilettos (New Jersey, CavanKerry Press 2002). Winner of the Allingham Award and the National Women's Poetry Competition, she was awarded a Bursary from the Arts Council Northern Ireland in 2000. In 2001 she received the Year of the Artist Award from Belfast City Council. She also writes for stage and screen and has edited a number of anthologies.
