David McLoghlin was born in Dublin in 1972, and studied at University College Dublin, where he was awarded First-class honours for his Master’s thesis on the Spanish poet Luis Cernuda.
His debut collection is Waiting for Saint Brendan and Other Poems (Cliffs of Moher, Salmon Poetry, 2012).
He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from New York University, where he was an editor of Washington Square review, and received a fellowship to teach creative writing to patients at Goldwater Hospital. Most recently was the Howard Nemerov Scholar at the 2011 Sewanee Writers’ Conference.
He currently lives in New York.
