Martin Malone
Martin Malone was born in Dublin.
His short stories have been published and broadcast widely, and have won him The Francis MacManus Award. He was twice shortlisted for a Hennessey Award.
His novels are US (Dublin, Poolebeg, 2000); After Kafra (Poolebeg, 2001); The Broken Cedar (London, Scribner, 2003); and Moore’s Bridge (Dublin, New Island Books, 2008)
He has also published The Lebanon Diaries: An Irish Soldier’s Story (Dunboyne, Co. Meath, Maverick House, 2007), based on his five tours of duty with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
He lives in the Curragh of Kildare.
