Justin Quinn

Justin Quinn was born in Dublin in 1968.
His collections are The O’o’a’a’ Bird (Manchester, Carcanet Press, 1994), which was short-listed for the Forward Prize in 1995; Privacy (Carcanet, 1999); Fuselage (Oldcastle, Co Meath, The Gallery Press, 2002); and Waves and Trees (The Gallery Press, 2006)..
He has also published Gathered Beneath The Storm: Wallace Stevens, Nature and Community (Dublin, University College Dublin Press, 2002); American Errancy: Empire, Sublimity and Modern Poetry (University College Dublin Press, 2006); and The Cambridge Introduction to Modern Irish Poetry, 1800-2000 (Cambridge University Press, 2008).
He was a founder editor of Metre, lecturer at the Charles University, Prague, and a translator of Czech poetry.
He is the current holder of the Heimbold Chair in Irish Studies, Villanova University, Pennsylvania .
