Trudy Hayes was born in Dublin in 1962.
Her short stories have been widely published and anthologised, and she was nominated for a Sunday Tribune Hennessy Award. Her plays include Out Of My Head, nominated for a Stuart Parker Theatre Award; Making Love To Yorick (Dublin and Belfast Theatre Festivals, 1998); and Do Nothing, Say Nothing, Be Nothing (staged at The Pavilion, Dunlaoighre, by Fishamble). Her work is included Virgins and Hyacinths, (Dublin, Attic Press), The Hennessy Book of Irish Fiction, and Ireland’s Women: Writings Past and Present.
She lives in Dublin.
