Davoren Hanna was born in Dublin in 1975.
He published one collection, Not Common Speech (Dublin, Raven Arts Press, 1990).
Amongst his awards are The Christy Brown Award, The British Spastics Society National Literary Award, The Welsh Academy Young Writers Competition and The Observer National Children’s Poetry Competition.
He was the subject of an RTÉ documentary, Poised for Flight.

He died in Dublin in 1994.
