Owen Gallagher was born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1949 of Irish parents. His mother was from Leitrim, his father, Donegal.
His collections are Sat Guru Snowman (UK, Peterloo Poets, 2001); Tea with the Taliban (Middlesborough, UK, Smokestack Books, 2012); and A Good Enough Love (Cliffs of Moher, Salmon Poetry, 2015).
He has won awards from The London Arts Board and The Society of Authors, as well as poetry competitions and his poems have been displayed on London buses and in public places in Ireland and on the Listening Wall, Southbank Centre, London at the Poetry International Festival, 2014.
He lives in London.
