Lisa Frank was born in Los Angeles but spent many years living in the Pacific Northwest before moving to Ireland in 2007.

Her first publication, The Evolution of the Seven Deadly Sins: From God to the Simpsons, was originally published in The Journal of Popular Culture, v35 n1 (Summer 2001), and reprinted in Common Culture (Upper Saddle River, NJ : Prentice Hall, 1998).

A writer of fiction, nonfiction, screenwriting and poetry, she was a joint winner of the 2015 Irish Writers’ Centre Novel Fair Competition and 2nd place winner of the 2016 Francis MacManus Award.

The editor of Galway Stories (Doire Press, 2013), she is co-director of Doire Press.

She lives in Connemara.
