Anne Fitzgerald was born in Dublin in 1965.

Her poetry collections are Swimming Lessons (Wales, Stonebridge, 2001); The Map of Everything (Dublin, Fortyfoot Press, 2006); and Beyond the Sea (Cliffs of Moher, Salmon Poetry, 2012).

She has edited, designed and produced four anthologies of young adults poetry, including The Colour of The World (Dublin, MET Press, 2003); The Compass (Dublin, MET Press, 2004); Uncharted Voyage (Dublin, Loreto Abbey Dalkey Press, 2004); and Deep Canyons (Loreto Abbey Dalkey Press, 2005).

She founded MET Press and Loreto Abbey Dalkey Press.

A recipient of The Ireland Fund of Monaco Writer-in-Residence at The Princess Grace Irish Library in Monaco, she lives in Co. Dublin.
