Eoin McNamee
Eoin McNamee was born in Kilkeel, Co Down, in 1961.
He has written two novellas, The Last of Deeds, (Raven Arts Press, Dublin),which was shortlisted for the 1989 Irish Times/Aer Lingus Award for Irish Literature; and Love in History.
His novels are Resurrection Man (London, Picador,1994); The Blue Tango (London, Faber & Faber, 2001); The Ultras (Faber & Faber, 2004); and 12:23: Paris, 31 August 1997 (Faber & Faber, 2007).
For juvenile readers he has published The Navigator (London, HarperCollins Children’s Books, 2006); and The City of Time (HarperCollins Children’s Books, 2008).
The film of Resurrection Man, for which he wrote the script, was released in 1998. He has also written the script for I Want You, directed by Michael Winterbottom. He was awarded the Macauley Fellowship for Irish Literature in 1990.
He lives in Co Sligo.
