Catherine Byron
Catherine Byron was born in London of an English father and Irish mother in 1947 but grew up in Belfast from 1948.
Her collections include Settlements and Samhain (UK, Loxwood Stoneleigh, 1987); Samhain (broadcast 1986, pub. 1987); Turas (1988), The Fat-Hen Field Hospital: Poems 1985-92 (1993); and The Getting of Vellum (The Cliffs of Moher, Co Clare, Salmon Poetry/UK, Blackwater Press, 2000).
She has also published a study of Seamus Heaney, Out of Step: Pursuing Seamus Heaney to Purgatory (UK, Loxwood Stoneleigh, 1992).
She teaches writing and medieval Literature at The Nottingham Trent University.
