Mary Branly was born in Sligo in 1962.

Her collections are A Foot in the Tide (Kilcar, Co Donegal, the Summer Palace Press, 2002); and Martin Let Me Go (Summer Palace Press, 2009).

She has also co-written Silk Kimono (Sligo, The Factory Performance Place, 1995); and co-ordinated Charlie Barley and all his friends, an anthology of Traveller children’s nursery rhymes (Kids Own Publishing Partnership, 2001).

She was awarded the Patrick and Katherine Kavanagh Fellowship for 2008.

She lives in Sligo.
